Choosing your day

Quiet local swim: Santiago bay below the studio. Full-service family day: La Arena (lifeguards, sunbeds, showers, restaurants). Postcard drama: Los Guíos beneath the 600-m walls. Rough-sea days: the sheltered El Laguillo pools laugh at swell.

The promenade crawl

All of them connect via the seafront walk — a morning of beach-hopping with coffee stops is a legitimate itinerary. Southward, Alcalá's coves and Playa San Juan extend the collection by bus or 10-minute drive.

FAQ

Which beach for small children?

Playa de la Arena on green-flag days — gentle shelf, lifeguards, everything at hand.

Are beaches crowded?

La Arena fills summer middays; the local bays rarely do. This coast doesn't do Benidorm crowds.
