Los Gigantes without a car — completely doable

You can enjoy a full holiday here without renting a car: beaches, restaurants and shops are walkable, buses run along the coast and to the southern hubs, taxis are affordable, and boat trips start a stroll away.

Your carless week

Beaches and the promenade fill the mornings; whale trips, kayaking and the pools cover activity days. Buses reach Alcalá, Playa San Juan and the Costa Adeje hubs where the island's routes connect. For Masca or Teide, join a guided tour with local pickup — often better than driving those roads yourself.

When you'd want wheels

Only really for free-roaming the north (Garachico, La Orotava) or sunrise/sunset missions on Teide. Renting for just one or two days mid-stay is a smart compromise — we can arrange local delivery.

FAQ

How do I get from the airport without a car?

Pre-booked transfer or taxi (~45 min from TFS), or bus with one change — we send exact current options with your booking confirmation.

Can I do Teide by bus?

There is limited public bus access; realistically, take a tour or rent a car for that day.
