Living like a local
The town wakes early: fishermen at the bay, café con leche on the terraces, then a slow afternoon and everyone out for the sunset. You'll find bakeries, pharmacies, banks and family-run restaurants within a few minutes' walk of the studio — The Chicken Shack (150 m) and Alfonso's Bar (300 m) are guest favourites.
Getting around
The coastal promenade is the artery: flat, scenic and lit at night. Buses and taxis run along the main road toward Los Gigantes one way and Alcalá/Costa Adeje the other.

- Sunset happens in front of your balcony — no need to go anywhere.

FAQ
Is Puerto de Santiago touristy?
Much less than Los Cristianos or Las Américas. Tourism exists, but the town still belongs to its residents.
Is it a good base for exploring?
Excellent — Masca, Teide and the Teno mountains are all within 15–45 minutes by car.
