Tenerife in 3 days — the west-coast express

Three days, zero waste: Day 1 — coast, cliffs and whales. Day 2 — Teide National Park. Day 3 — Masca ridge and Garachico. Every night ends with a balcony sunset in Puerto de Santiago.
Day 1Beaches, marina, whale trip, sunset
Day 2Teide: cable car + Roques de García
Day 3Masca, Teno, Garachico pools
PaceFull but unhurried; car for days 2–3

The plan

Day 1 (no car): morning swim at Playa de la Arena, promenade to Los Gigantes, afternoon whale-watching cruise, dinner at the marina. Day 2: early start via Chío to Teide — cable car first, then the Roques loop and Ucanca stops; return by Vilaflor; sunset from the balcony. Day 3: Cherfe viewpoint, Masca village early, north to Buenavista and Garachico for lunch and a lava-pool swim; home along the coast.

If weather intervenes

Swap days freely — Teide needs the clearest one. Calima haze? Prioritise Masca's close-range drama over distant panoramas.

FAQ

Is 3 days enough for Tenerife?

Enough to fall for it. This route hits the west's essentials and leaves the north-east as your reason to return.

Can I do this without a car?

Day 1 fully; days 2–3 via organised tours with local pickup — doable, slightly less free.
