West-coast windows
Archipenque for the cliffs, La Hondura for the coast, Mirador de Masca and Cherfe on the ridge road — Cherfe frames the Masca valley with La Gomera behind. Down the coast, Alcalá's headlands catch the whole Gigantes line at sunset.
The altitude game
Driving to Teide, stop at Chipeque or Ayosa at sunset: the cloud sea below turns orange with Teide's shadow above it. Inside the park, the Ucanca and Tabonal Negro pull-offs are lunar. In Anaga, Cruz del Carmen and Jardina look down the whole La Laguna plain.
- The cloud sea forms most reliably late afternoon on trade-wind days.
- Teide's shadow at sunset is a perfect triangle — watch east, not west.
- Every mirador has a lay-by; never stop on the road itself.
