Siam Park & water parks — Tenerife with slides

Siam Park regularly polls as the world's best water park: a Thai-themed mountain of record slides, a 3-m wave pool and lazy-river jungle 25 minutes from the studio. Aqualand Costa Adeje offers the smaller, cheaper, dolphin-adjacent alternative.

Doing Siam right

Arrive at opening, run (walk briskly) to Tower of Power and Singha before queues form, then work down the mountain. The wave pool's artificial beach and the Mai Thai lazy river absorb the afternoon. Towers of terror aside, the landscaping alone justifies non-sliders.

Practicalities

Lockers and towel rental exist; bring water shoes for hot walkways. Fast-passes sell out in summer — decide early. Food inside is theme-park priced; the exit-and-lunch loophole works with same-day wristbands (verify policy).

FAQ

Is Siam Park worth it from the west coast?

As the island's one unmissable 'attraction' attraction — yes, once per trip. 25 minutes each way.

Siam or Aqualand for under-8s?

Aqualand: cheaper, calmer, closer. Siam's magic aims slightly older.
